Town Assessor - Bill Bearup

In Scott, NY, the assessor is responsible for determining the value of real property within the town's boundaries. This value is used to calculate property tax bills. The assessor maintains an assessment roll, which lists the assessment for each property. This roll includes a description and value estimate for every parcel of real estate in the town. Before the tentative assessment roll is filed, the property inventory is open for inspection. The assessment roll also indicates any applicable exemptions.
