Welcome Tara Ferro as the Town of Scott Historian !!!
A message from Tara;
My name is Tara Ferro and I’m privileged enough to be the new historian for Scott. I’ve resided in Scott most of my life. My maternal ancestry traces back to Scott and Spafford for nearly 2 centuries. I’ve always had an interest in the town history. It’s hard to imagine now that Scott was once filled with shops, factories, mills and hotels. My goal is to share and preserve that history with you and for our future generations. I would also welcome any photos or stories that you may want to share, whether it be from decades to centuries ago. I look forward to serving as your town historian, hopefully for many years to come.

Meet the Town Supervisor
Louis T. Martin aka Skeeter
Howdy! First and foremost please call me Skeeter.
I was born in Binghamton in 1973. At the age of about three I moved with my grandparents to Texas where I spent most of my life.
I moved back to N.Y. about 15 years ago. I moved to the Town of Scott around 11 years ago with my wife Hanne who is a life long resident of Scott and our children Grace, Lucy, and Hoss and my step-children Donnie, Abby, and Ethan. I love it out here. I'm used to the country life and believe in helping your neighbors and friends with no strings attached.
I'm not a politician but I've been here long enough to have the same issues as everyone else. There is limited information and things are being done that are notin the best interest for all residents, just some. I'm working towards changing that. I'm getting all the information to everyone I can. I believe in full transparency. I started a facebook group, Town of Scott and many people where happy with this. I have also brought to the board the possibilty of using another news outlet; Homer News newspaper for advertisements as well as information pertaining to our great community, and it was passed. This paper is delivered to every resdient bi-weekly so please review for any updates or information.
I'm aviable to anyone anytime.
I also have designed this new and improved webpage for our town and if there is anything anyone would like to see on it please let me know. It is a work in progress.
If there is anything I can do to help you out please feel free to contact me by phone or email, or stop by. I'm looking foward to serving our community !!
